Oblivion Tips and Tricks

Increase your magic skills

Your experience points in magic are increased regardless of if you are using them in a sensefull manner and if the spell is mighty or not. So to improve for example your destruction magic skills, select a very weak and low-cost destruction spell (or buy one), and cast it against a wall so long until your skill has increased how much you wanted it too. This also works for all other magic skills like Illusion (use for example the spell 'Starlight') or Mysticism.

Increase Acrobatics Skill

To improve the acrobatics skill which will result in faster travel times asnd moving speed, just jump while walking. This will increase the acrobatics faster than usual. Also, jumping down from stairs or small hills will improve that skill.

Survive combat easily

In beginning of the game, or when you have chosen to increase the wrong skills while leveling up and you are weak in face to face combat, there is a simlpe trick to survive combats against mighty enemies: Just climb rocks or torrs so that the enemy can not reach you. You can then easily take him down using arrows, spells or even melee weapons if you are lucky.
